Made in China

I was inside an Power Mac Store browsing for an earphones, one guy approaches the stall and aperently he was looking for headphones, professional headphones. I cant help but to overhear his conversation with a staff. He said that he has a professional headphones that was sent from the U.S. then he look at the back of the box of the headphones that he liked. He saw that it was made in China. He quickly loses interest to the headphones and bragged that his headphones was made in U.S.

I realize that he is a DJ or something because he said to the staff that he had different DJ headphones. Well this got me thinking, what has a country, from where it was made, makes its sound/build quality differ from another? Well as far as my experience with many different products made in China, the country where it was made does not deteriorates the quality of the product, atleast with products from a big company.

So what if the headphones was made in China, the fact that it passed the tight quality control of the company means that it will perform as good as the ones made in US. Many companies, if not most, has a assembly line in China because labor is fairly cheaper there. Almost all the things that we use are made in China anyway, atleast here in the Philippines, but still the quality is the same with the ones made in US.
Yes, i know that almost all replicas was made in China but the products that i were pointing out were the ones in autorized dealers and youll be sure that it will be authentic. In the end of the day, i said to myself that maybe that guy is not a professional at all because he puts country of origin first than the quality itself.

So my tips for the consumers, made in China is not a good gauge that the product will more likely to fail than ones made in other country. If you are interested in a certain product always take time to reseacrh, more likely other users of that product will give you an idea to how that product performs.
